ALLEN VERY CLOSE TO RETURN

Had a lovely surprise today (6th October 2017). Hospital appointment at the Derby Community Hospital Physio Unit 1pm. Who should walk into the waiting room? Kirsty Allen our summer signing from Notts County. Kirsty tells me that she is very hopeful of a return to action in about a month's time to make her debut following lengthy Anterior Cruciate Ligament double surgery on her left knee. Wearing her Official Derby County Ladies FC attire (possibly fresh from Official DCLFC business) she chatted about her progress and stated that she hopes to be ready for the Nottingham Forest home encounter at the Mickleover Sports Ground on Sunday 12th November. Kirsty who's previous clubs include Stoke City, Nottingham Forest, West Bromwich Albion and Notts County is a left footed winger/centre forward with pace to burn and a scorching shot on her. She has a great eye for a goal and has previously been the league's leading scorer. Manager John Bennett said that she will prove to be a player that 'will' make a difference and an impact to DCLFC and I for one cannot wait to see her back in action.

It's the first time that I have had the great honour to speak to Kirsty since she joined DCLFC, and must say she was an absolute pleasure to be with.
